Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree in Sociology or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology from a regionally accredited institution is required. Candidates must be able to teach at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products; excellent oral and written communication skills; a self-starter; team player, and the ability to work collaboratively with others is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with a diverse population and Bilingual is preferred.

Position Description

Instructional duties include teaching day and evening classes, which may include classes offered at area high schools or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Courses may be required to be taught using traditional methods (seated), online, and hybrid. The instructor will teach SOC 210, 213, and/or 220. Duties include submitting reports as required and maintaining student evaluation records; participation in curriculum development, revision, implementation, and evaluation; and performing all other duties as assigned by the Humanities, Social Sciences Department Chair and/or Dean.
