Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience in workforce development or a related field
  • Documented training and/or experience in technology-based business environment
  • Current North Carolina Driver's License and Insurance
  • Understanding and appreciation for the philosophies of workforce development and adult education
  • Understanding and appreciation for the philosophy of the NC Community College System
  • Abreast of current best practices, trends, and policies regarding workforce development
  • Ability to work with diverse colleagues
  • Ability to develop and sustain community and business relations
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, challenging environment
  • ¬†Ability to work independently, with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 + years experience working in Workforce Development programs and Case Management
  • 2 + years work experience within an NCWorks Career Center or partner agency

Position Description

Develops policies, procedures and informational materials, in collaboration with the Workforce Development Director to ensure that customers receive accurate and consistent information and services. Addresses deficiencies in local area policy; prepares local area issuances, and presents issuances for committee and WDB approval. 

Provides oversight to case management including technical assistance, support on case issues, training and regular meetings with contractors to address policy and procedural issues.

Responsible for reviewing and monitoring the North Carolina Management Information System (NCWorks Online) for training program review for in-demand occupations and eligible training provider determinations.

This position requires some travel and after hours events and meetings as listed below:

  • Travel required in service area which includes Chatham, Harnett, Lee and Sampson counties
  • Some before or after hours events or meetings to attend
  • Travel required out of service to attend training, conferences and meetings
