Education Minimum: Associate's degree in Business, Management, Networking, Computer Science, or related management/information technology degree.
Experience Minimum: use of computers in an open computer lab environment.

Is responsible for the overall operation of the College's Open Computer Lab and assists students, faculty, and staff with computer-related issues in the computer lab. Evening work required.
KNOWLEDGE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the overall operation of the Open Computer Lab.
- Maintains a working environment conducive to learning.
- Ensures staffing of the Open Computer Lab is maintained during operational and special activity hours.
- Assists with the maintenance of the Open Computer Lab records and reports.
- Assists with computer lab software and keeping computers up to date.
- Assists with the Open Computer Lab equipment and supply inventories.
- Assists students with logon, printing, and other Open Computer Lab technical issues.
- Assists students with registering for classes in WebAdvisor.
- Assists students with access to JCC resources such as WebAdvisor, Blackboard, and network printing.
- Coordinates and manages Open Computer Lab needs for visiting agencies and others needing access to the lab.
- Manages and insures reconciliation of Pay-4-Print accounts and assists clients with issues related to the accounts.
- Assists the Information Technology Department with between semester activities, as needed.
- Installs and configures Open Computer Lab software as needed.
- Troubleshoots Open Computer Lab issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to generate and interpret graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and should have knowledge of Blackboard, WebAdvisor, Email, and a variety of third party software.
