Position Description

POSITION

Basic Skills Coordinator – ABE & AHS

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

The Basic Skills Coordinator- ABE and AHS is responsible for coordination of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) and High School Equivalency (HSE) programs within Basic Skills. The Coordinator plans, develops, organizes, monitors and evaluates curricula, classes and activities to increase literacy and prepare adults for employment and/or post-secondary education entry. This position is responsible for training, managing and evaluating staff that work in assigned programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university
  • Two (2) years’ of adult instruction or high school level experience
