Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Certification in HVAC from an accredited Institution or ten or more years of direct experience in the HVAC field
  • Current HVAC license
  • Must be willing to obtain the National Center for Construction Education and Research Certification (NCCER)
  • Must be able to work 8 to 12 hours a week day or evening classes
  • Proven record of excellent computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification and teaching experience is a plus.

Position Description


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: classroom and laboratory instruction, examination preparation and grading and preparing students for a rewarding career in HVAC/R.



  • Provides students with hand on training as well as textbook training as needed to succeed in the HVAC/R field
  • Instruct students in the techniques of HVAC/R
  • Ensures that all necessary documentation is kept current and delivered in a timely manner
  • Ensures that an accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
  • Willing to prepare and update material/outlines for adult learning styles
