Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED 
  • Ten or more years of direct experience in the Welding field 
  • Must have basic computer skills with the ability to use MS Office software which includes PowerPoint
  • Able to teach night classes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Certification in Welding from an accredited Institution or ten or more years of experience in the Welding field 
  • Must have basic computer skills with the ability to use MS Office software which includes power point 
  • Able to teach night or Saturday classes 

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: classroom and laboratory instruction, examination preparation and grading and preparing students for a rewarding career in Welding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provides students with hand on training as well as textbook training as needed to succeed in the Welding field 
  • Instruct students in the techniques of Welding 
  • Ensures that all necessary documentation is kept current and delivered in a timely manner 
  • Ensures that an accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom 
  • Willing to prepare and update material/outlines for adult learning styles
