Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field
- Equivalent combination of education, training, license, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position

Position Description

Under the supervision of the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, the Temporary Coordinator of Community Services will manage, supervise, and promote occupational extension courses leading to certification and/or licensure. In addition, the coordinator will oversee self-supporting initiatives as assigned.
 Collaborates with the Director of Community Services to meet the needs of the local community
 Monitors first time test taker pass rates and recommends program improvements when necessary
 Assists students with navigating the campus, career pathway, and credential experience
 Work with staff and instructors to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment which supports the goals of Continuing Education, Economic & Workforce Development
 Works closely with the College’s marketing department in order to implement a strategy that aligns with the objectives of Continuing Education, Economic & Workforce Development
 Develops and initiates a marketing strategy to achieve the goals and objectives of the department
 The coordinator also works with the College's HR department to identify new instructors and staff
 Evaluates the performance of instructors and provides coaching for performance improvement
 Works in a team to enhance the county’s and college’s economic development efforts
 Creates curriculum to support workforce needs
 Performs other task assigned associated with community service programs that are requested by the community
