Blue Ridge Community College is currently accepting applications for a Custodian position located at our Transylvania County Campus. The Transylvania County Campus Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment around the facilities and performs related work as required. 

Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid NC driver’s license.

Experience: Must have relevant experience in a workplace environment.

Knowledge and Skills:
A strong commitment to safety. Methods of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving various surfaces, proper use of a wide range of chemicals according to State and Federal regulations, handling and disposal of hazardous materials, and bloodborne pathogens. Work effectively in and around the public, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, maintain cooperative working relationships while at the same time demonstrating sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.

Physical Demands:
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position includes lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
