  1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a health science or public service area of study, required
  2. Current enrollment and completion of Master’s Degree program within three academic semesters, required

  2. Experience/knowledge in program area(s) or related field, preferred

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Faculty – Full-time and part-time
    1. Screen for employment, supervise, annually evaluate, encourage professional development and assist faculty in carrying out their responsibilities
  2. Curriculaim
    1. Maintain curricula to meet the needs of our service area and students. Programs including, but not limited to, Associate Degree Nursing, Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET),  Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, School-Age Education; Esthetics; and Practical Nursing
    2. Conduct program review and evaluation of curricula
    3. Schedule classes in service area to include off-campus business, industry, and High School courses as requested
    4. Work collaboratively with the Director of Customized Training and Development in development and delivery of workforce training
    5. Provide appropriate staffing to meet curricula needs
    6. Teach one (1) courses or three (3) credit hours per year as relevant to credentials
    7. Maintain compliance with Federal, State, Local and SACSCOC guidelines and standards
  3. Staff – Full-time and part-time
    1. Screen for employment, supervise, annually evaluate, and assist in carrying out their responsibilities
  4. Budget
    1. Purpose and administer budget to include equipment, materials and supplies, travel and staffing
  5. General Administration
    1. Serve on committees as assigned
    2. Conduct division meetings
    3. Provide leadership in meeting the goals and carrying out the mission of the college
    4. Provide leadership for the development and maintenance  of program advisory committees
    5. Maintain awareness of college policies and ensure compliance where appropriate

  1. Develop an understanding and appreciation of the mission, history, current programs, services and goals of Isothermal Community College
  2. Leadership and communication skills necessary for writing reports and conducting daily business
  3. Interpersonal skills necessary for maintaining a positive environment
  4. Analytical skills necessary for interpreting statistical data and for seeing all sides of an issue
  5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholder

Physical Demands

Typical office environment, infrequently lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs.; infrequently twisting or bending at the waist or reaching overhead; frequently traveling between buildings on campuses, to other centers or off campus to attend meetings and conference; frequently listening to and talking with students, faculty, and staff in person, by telephone, or e-mail; frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display, keyboard, and mouse.
