Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Office Administration, Business Administration, Business Education or closely related field. One or more years of experience in an office environment.

Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Business Education, or closely related field. Teaching experience using innovative methods. On-line teaching experience using an LMS. Two or more years of experience working in an office environment. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification preferred.

Position Description

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Qualified candidates will possess a passion for office administration and for engaging students in this professional, technology-based field.

Assist the Dean of Business Programs and Division Chair with the scheduling and staffing for all classes in the Office Administration program.

Provide input to the Dean of Business Programs and Division Chair on departmental budget needs to include part-time salaries, supplies, equipment, travel and other costs.

Collaborate with Medical Office Administration and other programs on projects, scheduling, and assessments.

Develop, review, and recommend new or modified course outlines, supplies, materials and textbooks; maintain currency of instructional techniques and methods.

Recruit and advise students, process student documentation, prepare reports and perform internal audits.

Monitor and improve student retention.

Comply with instructional responsibilities, as explained in the job description for the instructional faculty.

Provide quality instruction for face-to-face and online classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.

Incorporate latest instructional and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.

Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Provide recommendations for program changes based on industry trends and input from the advisory board.

Complete program review(s), assessment, and other departmental activities.

Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.

Participate in faculty committees and other activities as assigned.
