Associate’s Degree in Emergency Medical Science (EMS) or similar/related program with extensive experience well documented in the application packet may be considered in lieu of the EMSdegree.
Must be credentialed as a North Carolina Paramedic.
Must have or be able to attain a North Carolina Level I EMS Instructor certification within 1 year.
Qualified applicant must have begun or completed the Hepatitis B series and must have begun and remain current with required immunizations and current CPR.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Applicants not meeting these minimum requirements will not be considered for this position.
North Carolina Level II EMS Instructor Certification.
Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college level.
On-line teaching experience.
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Teach face-to-face, online, and blended classes according to approved course syllabi to include day, evening, and weekend instruction both on and off campus as needed by the Department.
Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery to include classroom, skills lab, simulation, and clinical settings.
Participate in student recruitment efforts and advisement for increased enrollment and retention.
Maintain accurate records of student work and attendance and other records required by the College and North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty and staff.
Assist in program and curriculum review, revision and development by participating in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge in teaching field through continual professional development.
