Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Hands-on experience working with relational databases.
 
Knowledge of systems architecture and information system concepts, techniques, and operating principles.
 
Working knowledge of complex programming languages.
 
Demonstrated experience in the development of technical and user documentation.
 
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
 
Awareness of project management skills with ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations.
 
Ability to define requirements, troubleshoot and support users.
 
Good analytical, customer service and team-oriented interpersonal skills.
 
Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, highly technical environment.
 
Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills.
 
Ability to maintain records accurately and meet deadlines consistently.

Minimum Requirements 

Bachelor's degree
 
Five years' experience managing a higher education ERP
 
Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
 
Ability to travel for conferences and training

Preferred Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in an IT related field
 
Five years' experience with Ellucian Colleague administration and programming
 
PMP certification
 
ITIL Foundation, ISO and/or Six Sigma certification

Position Description

Job Summary

This position serves as the lead technical analyst for the College's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application. This includes directing a team of analysts in supporting the daily operations, maintenance, reporting and testing of the ERP system used by numerous staff within the College. 

Responsibilities & Duties (* items are essential functions)

*Serves as a technical subject matter expert on the ERP application and supporting technical infrastructure.

*Ensures security, compliance and stability for all ERP and related systems issues.
 
*Defines policies, processes and procedures for the evaluation, implementation, testing, and documenting of all enhancements/releases of the ERP system with State IT, ERP vendor and end users.
 
*Serves as the technical liaison with other ITS areas for developing and maintaining the technical architecture of the ERP system.
 
*Maintains expert knowledge of the college's ERP and related systems.
 
*Provides mentoring for application analysts and other less-experienced staff including delegation and quality review of work performed
 
*Monitors system performance to identify areas of application and technical weakness and recommend alternative solutions.

* Acts as lead in providing guidance and support to assigned staff
 
*Works with the ERP user community and Project Management Team on applicable projects to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsible for day-to-day operations of the ERP system including resolving problems and issues reported by College users.
 
Responsible for developing and maintaining interfaces with other College and external applications.
 
Translates and prioritizes user requirements into objectives for incorporating in current or future ERP product releases.
 
Provides training, technical resources, and support to end users of ERP systems
 
Maintains revision controls for ERP customization
 
Develops and maintains documentation for use and maintenance of ERP applications
 
Performs advanced database administration tasks
 
Evaluates applications and processes for inclusion into ERP systems
 
Performs Unix systems programming and administration tasks
