Master’s degree with two years of experience in community college educational administration, teaching, or developing education programs and courses. Knowledge and skill in the use of integrated software systems and Microsoft applications. Degrees and hours must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Five years’ experience in administration and management in a community college or other higher education setting

Knowledge of managerial principles; Advanced principles and practices in assigned area of responsibility; Budgeting principles; Strategic planning principles; Program development and administration principles and practices; Applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes; Policy and procedure development practices; Project management principles and practices; Computers and related software applications.
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking an Executive Director, College and Career Readiness, who will oversee all administrative aspects for planning, delivery and evaluation of the college’s Basic Skills programs – ESL, Adult Basic Education, Adult High School and S.O.A.R. (formerly Compensatory Education). The director also manages program performance and a team of permanent and adjunct faculty to set standards for delivery of instruction at college and off-campus sites. The director collaborates with the community to promote the programs, advocate for students, and engage agencies and employers.
