Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in Hospitality Management or a related degree, and experience in facility management, event planning, and business management.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, or business management.

Position Description

 Supervises and assists in the set-up of facilities on the Main Campus and, as needed, at the satellite campuses. Facilities include the Civic Center, Seminar Rooms, Conference Room, Student Lounge, Gazebo and Auditorium.
 Determines the appropriate staffing and technology support for each event/production. Working closely with Human Resources, recruit and hire staff for events/productions. Working closely with Business Services, prepare and submit independent contracts for services needed during events/productions.
 Supervises and/or assists with the set-up of tables, chairs, stage, curtains, lighting, sound systems, and video systems.
 Coordinates the activities of the Civic Center Technician Custodial/Security personnel in preparing for events and cleaning up following events.
 Operates sound system and lighting equipment for events as needed. Monitors conditions of the equipment and schedules repairs when needed.
 Schedule and coordinate all college events in the Civic Center and other college facilities with student clubs, Director of Communication, college administration, and other college groups and organizations (outside of college instructional classes).
 Supervise, manage, and train all permanent and temporary staff assigned in performing support work of events/productions. 
 Coordinate grounds and custodial services for events/productions with Plant Operations. 
 Coordinate IT support for events/productions with the Director of Information Technology. Maintain a supervisory presence for all events/productions. 
 Manage and oversee all operations of the Civic Center and serve as the liaison (or delegate appropriate staff members to serve as the liaison) for all performances and events.
