Position Description
To provide graphic design services that follows branding guidelines for Mitchell Community College at the direction of the Marketing and Communications Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design brochures, signs, posters, logos, programs, postcards, course schedules, business cards, forms (print & interactive, ADA-compliant PDF’s), digital slides and other College materials using the following software: Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
• Proficiency in PC platform essential
• Work directly with Director of Marketing and Communications on marketing, event projects and graphics standards for the College
• Other duties as assigned
Related Responsibilities:
• Coordinate external print requests/orders (with approval from Director of Marketing and Communications) between faculty/staff and external printers
Surroundings/Environment:
Standard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements, with moderate noise.
Physical Effort:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
Scheduling:
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods.
Travel:
Local travel is required, including between campus locations. Out of state travel is limited, but may be required for special trainings/conferences.
