Minimum Qualifications

MS in Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Human Services Technology, Vocational Rehabilitation, or Psychology. The department will consider any equivalent combination of academic qualifications and work experience that provides the skills, knowledge, and abilities required by the areas of study within the program. Two years of combined teaching and clinical experience preferred.

Position Description

Prepare syllabi, Prepare classroom and/or distance learning instructional activities and assignments, Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the College policy for a full-time teaching schedule, Maintain a minimum of five office hours per week to advise/assist students and no less than thirty-two hours per week on campus and five days on campus, Assist in ordering and inventory of departmental supplies, materials, and equipment, Maintain current knowledge of programs, trends, and new developments in area of expertise. Serve as advisor to assigned students, provide accurate information and advice, ensure proper placement in courses, and maintain up-to-date Program Completion Guides, Assist in recruitment and retention of students. Participate in registration and early registration, Submit annual performance objectives and complete an annual follow-up process with the supervisor. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills applicable to working with diverse groups of students and employees. Faculty are employed for 9.5 months with optional summer assignments
