Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in education, business, or related field
  • Ability to use technology, including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide peer leadership
  • Ability to collect and analyze data and make informed decisions

Position Description

The Position of Instructional Coordinator is a 40 hour, grant-funded position that reports to the Program Director, College and Career Readiness/Get Real Program.  Duties for the position include:

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing youth activities (field trips, guest speakers, and award celebrations)
  • Setting short-term educational and employment goals with students
  • Identifying and connecting students with short-term curriculum certificate and diploma programs
  • Assisting with monthly grant reporting requirements
  • Tracking and documenting student goal achievement
  • Administering academic placement and progress assessments
  • Maintaining student assessment records
  • Working with local workforce boards to support students following completion
  • Working with DCCC and Davidson Works staff to ensure attainment of program outcomes
  • Coordinating campus visits and assisting with enrollment management
  • Participating in student success initiatives
  • Contributing to program newsletter to support communication
  • Serving on college committees as needed
  • Supporting the college mission, vision, and values
  • Performing other tasks as assigned that support the mission and initiatives of the college

Qualifications Required:

ADA Summary:

ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment; ease of mobility within the office setting and other areas of campus; effective use of all forms of communication; and the ability to perform general office duties, including use of the computer.  Ability to travel to other campus locations.

Salary Range: 

$30,523 - $38,000 based on candidate’s experience, education, and funding source availability
