- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, two years of direct patient care as a registered nurse (with demonstration of acute medical-surgical experience), and a current, unrestricted registered nurse license in North Carolina are required.
- Well-developed clinical, technical, computer, organization, time management, and communication skills are necessary.
**Applicants without a MSN degree must be willing to complete the MSN-Education concentration within 3 years upon hire.**
- A Master’s degree in Nursing education and teaching experience are preferred.
Responsible for providing effective instruction consistent with established objectives, effective advisement for students, accurate record keeping and reporting, and curriculum or course review and evaluation. This position requires a great deal of flexibility to support varied curriculum and clinical education activities. Must be able to meet the physical and emotional demands in all aspects of nursing care. Maintain current knowledge and competence in nursing practice. Maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with students, staff, faculty and representatives from various health care professions and settings.
Primary responsibilities occur during the days, Monday through Friday; however applicants must be available to teach or attend activities on evenings, weekends, and at off-campus locations, and to attend out-of-town meetings as needed.
