Knowledge and understanding of current technologies needed, preferably by large educational institutions, and impact on delivery of IT services.

Awareness of project management skills with ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.

Fosters an open, collaborative relationship with faculty, students and staff to identify support needs on the delivery of IT-related services.
Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, highly technical environment.
Bachelor's degree in an IT related field.
Five years' experience in an IT related discipline with at least two years supporting an enterprise's application development function.
One year experience in a leadership and supervision capacity
MBA or Master's degree in IT related field.
Experience in higher education with direct experience implementing and managing a Learning Management System
ITIL Foundation, ISO and/or Six Sigma certification
This position is responsible for leading a team to provide services and support related to the integration/development of software applications used across the college.
Responsibilities & Duties (* Essential Functions)
*Provides leadership in developing and maintaining improved business processes through web, portal, workflow automation, Learning Management System (LMS) and other software applications in support of the college's needs.
*Supervises and evaluates assigned staff members
*Communicates and delegates work assignments based on priorities established by the department
*Responsible for scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage during normal business hours and on-call support as required by the department.
*Monitors compliance with department SLA standards and follows-up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution
*Plans, executes, and manages integration of the college's enterprise application systems
*Develops strategies for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of existing software development methodology to reduce dependency on custom applications
*Researches and recommends the acquisition of software products and services that align with the College's mission
*Manages the design, development and implementation of upgrades to systems and application software
Responsible for setting clear, achievable goals and objectives for the Application Development Team in support of the department's vision
Develops "lessons learned" from project results and incorporates recommendations into processes for future initiatives.
Ensures adherence to security and data integrity policies for purchased and custom software applications
Establishes standards for the creation and maintenance of appropriate documentation for all supported software applications
Establishes and maintains a process for continuous improvement in the development and delivery of IT services.
Provides technical guidance and training support to Application Development team regarding systems
Conducts quality control checks on programming work performed by team members in combination with Senior Developers
