Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree.
  • Experience in a position that demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in a position that demonstrates budgeting skills, including tracking.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation graphics.
  • Experience providing support to a multi-faceted team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in a community college setting.
  • Experience leading team projects.
  • Experience in graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite -Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.). 
  • Experience in photography. 
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

Position Description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Marketing and Communications Specialist is a member of the Marketing Team and is under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications. The Marketing and Communications Specialist supports the implementation and management of marketing strategies and assists with the administrative functions of the College’s marketing objectives.

 

DUTIES:

  • Provide high-level, tailored administrative support to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to track and report the College’s marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Research and review analytics across college digital outlets (including, but not limited to website, social media, and third-party outlets) for the purpose of marketing opportunities and current trends. 
  • Manage details of marketing contracts with advertising media to ensure services are delivered on time and within contract specifications.
  • Coordinate the workflow of marketing projects with internal and external audiences.
  • Assist with changes and updates to the college website.
  • Manage and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and assist other departments on campus with CRM implementation and utilization. 
  • Manage the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance within the college website and associated documents.
  • Assist in developing training and procedures for appropriate social media usage and brand adherence across college departments and groups.
  • Assist with internal printing and related functions.
  • Assist in tracking and processing of expense and purchase order workflow and ensure that they are prepared and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate the preparation of Request for Quotes (RFQs) for marketing services, adhering to the College’s purchasing policy.
  • Coordinate employee photo sessions for the online employee directory.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications.
