Minimum Qualifications
Required: Master's degree in music or a Master's degree + 18 graduate credit hours in music from a regionally-accredited institution; experience teaching hybrid and web-enhanced courses including knowledge of Moodle course management systems; the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students and others
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with: community college teaching experience in music, experience teaching dual-enrolled students and familiarity with North Carolina Community College curriculum structure and processes.

Full-time 9-month contract
Example of Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach curriculum music courses in both the University Transfer and Associate in Applied Science degree areas, including but not limited to music appreciation, voice, piano, and winds. Classes may be taught on the main campus or at area high schools. Other tasks will include the development of course plans, tests, identifying and assessing student learning outcomes, teaching according to the college load formula, advising of university transfer students, serving on college standing and ad hoc committees. Carry out other duties as assigned by the college. Work hours may include day, evening, and weekend hours.
