Typical Qualifications
Required: Master's degree in mathematics; minimum of two years full-time teaching experience in higher education; experience teaching hybrid and web-enhanced courses including knowledge of Moodle course management systems; the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students and others.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with: experience working with My Math Lab and/or other online mathematics programs; experience working with students in a lab setting; and familiarity with North Carolina Community College curriculum structure and processes.

Example of Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach curriculum mathematics courses in both the University Transfer and Associate in Applied Science degree areas, including but not limited to quantitative literacy, statistics, pre-calculus, and calculus. Classes may be taught on the main campus or at area high schools. Other tasks will include the development of course plans, tests, identifying and assessing student learning outcomes, teaching according to the college load formula, advising of university transfer students, serving college standing and ad hoc committees. Carry out other duties as assigned by the college. Work hours may include day, evening, and weekend hours.
