Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing Related field required. Self-starter, team player, and a demonstrated ability to work well with others required. Excellent oral and written/computer communication skills require
Degree in Industrial Systems, Engineering, Safety, HVAC, Machining or Electronics is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years work experience is required and certification in any of the above areas is preferred.
One to three years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.
National Career Readiness Certificate – Silver preferred.
Instructional duties include developing and conducting day and evening courses in electrical/mechanical/safety areas for Workforce Continuing Education area. The responsibilities include providing training in safety, lean principles, continuous improvement areas, basic electronics, industrial wiring, programmable logic controllers, industrial motors/controls, machining, HVAC, solidworks, mastercam, and auto cad software. Responsibilities include timely submission of reports, participation in planning processes and adherence to achieving learning outcomes. Upon successful hire, the candidate must complete and pass all Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) the full Certified Production Technician (CPT) Instructor Certification which includes the following modules: Safety, Manufacturing Processes & Production, Quality Practices & Measurement, and Maintenance Awareness. The candidate cannot have previously been a MSSC Site Coordinator or Proctor within the past year.
