Masters in Arts of Sociology or Master's degree with 18+ hours of graduate sociology courses completed.
College teaching experience required. Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse student population. Ability to construct on-line courses preferred. Experience with Moodle preferred.

Teaches assigned day and/or evening college-transfer sociology courses. Performs related administrative and record-keeping duties. Prepares lectures, handouts, and supplemental information to teach a variety of political sciences courses in traditional classroom setting and on-line to community college students. Reports to Social Sciences Department Chair.
Employee needs to be able to teach these courses in a variety of potential delivery methods (traditional, hybrid, online, etc), which will be determined by college and departmental needs. Performs related administrative and record-keeping duties. Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues and a diverse faculty; to prioritize tasks and organize data; to promote high standards in the classroom. Demonstrated teaching skills, including ability to organize class materials, meet a course's objectives, and use a variety of teaching techniques.
