Associate’s degree with prior work experience in reception and clerical assistance and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Minimum requirements plus Career Readiness Certificate.
Serve as receptionist, operate the College’s multi-station switchboard, refer or transfer calls to appropriate stations; greet, screen and direct visitors and students; provide guidance and direction as required; relay pertinent information to campus staff. As Human Resources Assistant, screen calls and visitors for Director of Human Resources and provide clerical support for Director of Human Resources.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate a multi-station switchboard for incoming calls and all outgoing long distance calls and refer and/or transfer calls to appropriate extensions.
Greet visitors, screen and direct to proper office or person; provide information to visitors and/or callers.
Perform general clerical duties on a need basis upon request.
Provide information pertaining to curriculum and non-curriculum programs.
Maintain schedules of faculty for information.
Receive and distribute messages taken for employees of the college.
Update the employee directory.
Assist with training of new operators and phone users, including internship for students in office technology and medical assisting.
Assist with mailings by addressing envelopes, applying labels, stuffing envelopes and any other duties relative to this.
Attend seminars, workshops, lectures, training sessions for upgrading performance as switchboard operation, receptionist, and HR Assistant, and other related fields of service.
As Human Resources Assistant, prepare correspondence, maintain applicant database, schedule job interviews, greet job candidates and perform any other support services as requested.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
