Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong time management and organizational skills

Demonstrated effectiveness at working both independently and cooperatively in a team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skill

Advanced proficiency in databases to include, Intrinsic, Informer and other reporting tools

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office


Bachelor's degree

One year of experience in research and analysis

Ability to perform statistical functions



Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Working knowledge of Intrinsic Informer or other statistical reporting tools; demonstrates ability to extract information from databases

Experience with Datatel or other ERP systems
Computer programming experience

Essential Personnel:


Position Description

This position is responsible for creating and managing the college's planning documents to include the strategic plan, master plan, review of institution's mission statement, vision, and annual planning and evaluation reports.


*Participates in the department's effective and efficient completion  of planning, college mission, vision and core value review

*Assists in the department's responsibilities to create and manage the college's planning documents (strategic plan, master plan, review of institution's mission statement, vision, and annual planning and evaluation report)

*Researches and reports data collection, analysis, and dissemination of standardized reports to meet college standards

*Develops statistical reports and procedures for proactive data collection and analysis to enhance data based decision making by senior administrators

*Meets accurate and timely federal, state, and local guidelines (such as IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems) and NCHED (North Carolina Higher Education Data, etc.)

*Supports the President's Office in annual data collection, analysis, and reporting

*Creates and maintains statistical and research records for all areas (grants office, communications, foundation, curriculum and continuing education divisions) of the college

Assures maintenance of statistical and research records for all areas of the college

Provides research and data support to grants, communication, foundation, curriculum and continuing education divisions

Maintains SACS accreditation process for current and new campuses

Serves on ad hoc committees in support of the mission, vision, goals, and core values of the college

Attends departmental meetings as assigned

Promotes continuous improvement by completing an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
