Minimum Qualifications
An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice or related field.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, students, and guests of the College.
Extensive experience directly related to the position duties, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
A graduate of a Basic Security Officers Training Course or Basic Law Enforcement is preferred.
Position Description
Assist the Director and Security Operations Manager in the direct supervision of the security staff in the Public Safety and Security Department.
The Security Shift Supervisor will lead day-to-day security shift functions proactively providing a safe learning environment to the College community.
Must be available to work any shift schedule to include various hours and days.
Ensure the department personnel are professionally trained to perform their duties.
Demonstrate any combination of education, experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities to successfuly perform required duties.
Possession of or must obtain a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
