Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree from a regionally accredited college is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the use of a variety of office equipment to include fax machine, photocopier, scanner, and videoconferencing and telephone systems
• Excellent typing, public relations, communications and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Working knowledge of the Datatel Colleague system preferred

Position Description

The Staff Assistant for Student Services provides support for all aspects of the admissions process from application through enrollment. The Staff Assistant performs general office duties for the department.

• Greet students and visitors
• Respond to phone requests for information
• Disseminate information by using the telephone, mail services, fax and e-mail
• Track all student records needed in the application process
• Assist potential students with the online application process, enter data into the Datatel system, make folders, receive transcripts and other admissions documents and scan all documentation into the document imaging system
• Create spreadsheets, compose correspondence and manage databases
• Coordinate with other departments within the College
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
