Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Office Administration or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. Must have two years of relevant general office and Microsoft Office software experience.
Position Description
Responsible for handling details for the efficient functioning of the Vice President of Student Services office. Responsible for clerical duties for the various directorates within Student Services. Responsible for assisting with responses to student requests to the various directorates within Student Services. Responsible for typing, recording minutes, editing, generating final correspondence, copying, reports, and other written documents as directed.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare written correspondence and documents for the Vice President of Student Services.
- Assist the Admissions Office, the Financial Aid Office, the Placement Office, and the Registrar’s Office with clerical tasks and processing student requests.
- Responsible for recording minutes of Academic Review Committee meetings, SES Staff meetingsand other meetings as directed.
- Coordinate use of the Ballard Conference Room.
- Assist the Vice President of Student Services in maintaining edits to NCC Catalog as it pertains to Student Services.
- Keep Student Services office supply inventory on hand.
- Front desk responsibilities in the absence of the Student & Enrollment Services Specialist.
- Assist with preregistration and registration.
- Assist with graduation, recognition, and awards ceremonies.
- Collect, verify accurate reporting of time sheets and forward to the Vice President for Student Services for signature.
- Maintain up to date information in the Student Services activity Google Calendar.
- Archive student college transcripts and financial aid documents through document imaging.
- Manage NCC’s account with Parchment for proper transcript request services, and the effective process for walk-in transcript requests.
- Assist Public Relations with Curriculum Commencement program.
- Participate in professional development activities provided by NCC.
- Participate in College events and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned which contribute to the efficient and effective operation of
Student Services and NCC.
- Serve on institutional committees as assigned.
- Participate in and support ongoing assessment, planning and evaluation to improve student learning.
