Bachelor’s Degree. Strong communication and human relations skills. A knowledge of assessment of disadvantaged populations. Ability to communicate effectively with participants and supporting agencies, community constituents, parents, and target area schools. Some experience working with youth programs. Some computer records management experience. Some experience with low-income, minority, and disadvantaged populations. Some experience conducting group and/or individual workshops.
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Education, or closely related field. Familiarity with TRIO Programs. Some experience working in TRIO Programs. Some experience in assessment and placement.
Under the supervision of the Project Director, this position will coordinate and assist in the administration of the activities outlined in the Upward Bound Proposal through developing good working arrangements with appropriate secondary school personnel and being knowledgeable of the scope, purpose, legislation and regulations creating and governing the UB Program. Must be prepared to work evenings and weekends.
