Diploma in Welding Technology (or equivalent) with AWS Welding Certification, Certified Welding inspector, or Certified Associate Welding Inspector. Must have experience in ARC Welding (SMAW, GMAW and GTAW) and Oxyacetylene Welding (OAW). Communication, both oral and written, and computer skills necessary. Applicants not meeting this minimum requirement will not be considered for this position.
Associate degree in Welding. Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience.
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time position to teach coursework in the Welding program. Qualified candidates will be able to develop curriculum and provide training and student support resulting in graduates who meet entry-level employment criteria for positions in the welding field.
Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
Incorporate latest instructional technologies & interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
Recruit students to the program.
Advise students who are in the welding course.
Monitor and improve student retention.
Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, curriculum review, revision and development.
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty and staff.
Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
