Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline.  The candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience working with Workforce Development programs or similar programs.  Experience with and knowledge of the current Turning Point Workforce Development Board ISD program is highly desirable.

Position Description

The Workforce Specialist is responsible for greeting, registering, directing visitors to needed services.  Duties also include assisting job seekers, job referrals, providing Labor Market information and coordinating/enrollment into training opportunities that exist.  The employee will be a Halifax Community College employee who will be housed at the Halifax/Northampton NC Works Career Center.  Employee will report to the WIOA Operations Manager and indirectly to the HCC WIOA Program Assistant in conjunction with the Halifax/Northampton NC Works Career Manager and HCC Director of Resource Development.
