Position Description
POSITION
Accounting Assistant- Collections
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The Accounting Assistant- Collections is responsible for performing a variety of diversified duties in collecting outstanding accounts receivables from students and vendors. This positions performs a variety of tasks to reduce the amount of collections including maintaining frequent contact with students to include setting up payment plans. The Accounting Assistant- Collections is cross trained in many accounting functions and serves as the primary backup for Accounts Payable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) years’ full-time professional work experience in accounting
SALARY/BENEFITS
- Hiring range is $32,000 - $36,000
- Benefits include paid holidays, annual and sick leave, medical insurance, and participation in the N.C. State Retirement System.
