Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field AND three (3) years of experience cash management, financial reporting and fixed assets; AND three (3) years of work experience in the direct supervision of staff; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above. A higher degree does not substitute for work experience.

Position Description

The purpose of this position involves the responsibility for managing accounting and business office processes in support of the Controller. Assists with maintaining Internal Controls, General Ledger and Audit Support. Work is performed under the general direction of the Controller exercising independent judgment within the guidelines of GASB and North Carolina General Statutes as well as the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work, and in making decisions regarding customer needs and requests and conducting project assignments. Supervision over others is required of this position. Position does related work as required.
