Position Description
Under direct supervision, this position serves as the Accounts Receivable Technician and Cashier for the Business Office and provides back-up for Accounts Payable.
- Performs general cashiering duties for the college such as receiving and processing incoming monies (student tuition payments and fees, issuing receipts, maintaining necessary records and files, balancing and maintaining cash drawer daily)
- Tracks, invoices and records sponsorship payments for student charges
- Follows the collections policy as described in the Cash Management Policy for bad debt recovery
- Responsible for completing reports such as Tuition Remission Report by semester and 1098Ts
- Submits outstanding balance to Department of Revenue (DOR)
- Assists in the Business Office Year-End process
