Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Biology or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in biology from an accredited institution; must be a team player who is committed to the community college "open door" philosophy; adheres to research-based teaching practices that promote academic excellence in teaching and learning.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED: Two years teaching experience in Anatomy and Physiology; Blackboard and community college teaching experience.
Position Description
Reporting directly to the science department head, the Adjunct Anatomy and Physiology instructor will plan, organize, and teach anatomy and physiology/biology courses and labs in the science department as assigned.
Examples of Duties
The Adjunct Anatomy and Physiology instructor will ensure that student learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the college, maintains class attendance records and submits all reports in a timely manner; administers periodic learning assessments and provides timely feedback to students; maintains office hours each week; prepares and revises syllabi; other duties as assigned by science department head.
