- Master's degree in Biology or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in biology from an accredited institution; must be a team player who is committed to the community college "open door" philosophy; adheres to research-based teaching practices that promote academic excellence in teaching and learning.
- Two years teaching experience in Anatomy and Physiology; Blackboard and community college teaching experience.
Reporting directly to the science department head, the part-time Biology instructor will plan, organize, and teach science courses and labs in the science department as assigned to ensure that student learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the college, maintains class attendance records and submits all reports in a timely manner; administers periodic learning assessments and provides timely feedback to students; maintains office hours each week; prepares and revises syllabi; participates in on-going professional development opportunities; Classes may be assigned for in-class and/or online class sections. Other duties as assigned by the science department head.
