Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Biology or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in biology/anatomy & physiology from an accredited institution; must be a Master's degree in Biology or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in biology/anatomy & physiology from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: Preference will be given to a qualified individual with a multi-disciplinary science background that possesses an additional 18 graduate hours in a discipline such as chemistry, geology, math or engineering. Two years of teaching experience in anatomy & physiology. Blackboard and community college teaching experience. Experience working with the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students.
Position Description
The adjunct biology instructor will plan, organize, and teach biology/anatomy & physiology courses and labs to ensure that student learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the college; initiate student alerts when necessary; maintain a positive environment for students; maintain a positive environment for student; maintain class records and submit all reports in a timely manner.
