Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Integrated Machining
Two (2) years of relevant industry experience as a machinist/toolmaker
Experience with Haas CNC controls
Two (2) certifications from the National Institute of Metal Working Skills or the ability to earn these within one year
AutoCad experience
Strong computer skills and commitment to use of technology in instruction
Creativity and openness to change
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively and collegially with others in a team environment
Maintain high level of sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse environment of individuals with varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds.
Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
Work experience in advanced manufacturing
Journeyman card
Experience with Cadcam
3-D printing experience
Prior teaching experience including online instruction

The Adjunct Faculty, Computer Integrated Machining position is a part-time position. The program prepares individuals for successful employment. This position reports directly to the Division Chair of Professional and Technical Careers and has the following responsibilities:
Promotes College mission, values, and vision.
Teaches assigned courses in classroom, lab and /or clinical settings to meet program needs including, but not limited to day, evening, weekend, and distance courses.
Evaluates student progress and provides appropriate feedback.
Develops course syllabi and provides appropriate written information to students concerning course evaluation and criteria.
Explore, assess, and implement appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning outcomes.
Carries out a program of self-evaluation to determine instructional effectiveness.
Participate in activities necessary to maintain program compliance.
Assists in the evaluation of courses and programs.
Prepares and submits instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy.
Attends appropriate College and School meetings.
Assists in student recruitment and retention.
Maintains appropriate office hours and accessibility for students, faculty and staff.
Participates in professional development to enhance instructional and technical skills.
Performs other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the college.
Maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds.
