Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree in a foreign language or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in a foreign language from a regionally accredited institution is required. Candidates must be able to teach online and/or on the main campus of Wayne Community College. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, excellent oral and written communication skills, being a self-starter and team player, and the ability to work collaboratively with others is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with a diverse population is preferred.

Position Description

Instructional duties include teaching day or evening classes, on-site courses, hybrid courses, and/or online courses. The instructor will teach introductory foreign language classes along with corresponding labs. Duties include submitting reports as required and maintaining student evaluation records; participation in curriculum development, revision, implementation, and evaluation; and performing all other duties as assigned by the Language and Communications Department Chair and/or Dean.
