Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s degree or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline is required.  All post-secondary credentials must be from regionally accredited institutions.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.  Proficiency in computer software is required.  Applicant must be a self-starter, a team player, and possess the ability to work well with others.  

Additionally, a current CPR instructor certification is required. (American Red Cross is preferred.)     

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual is preferred.

Position Description

Instructor will teach First Aid and CPR, specifically HEA 112 (First Aid and CPR) with the potential to teach HEA 110 or PED courses. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the subject area and submit academic reports and records in a timely manner.  Applicants must be able to teach day and evening classes, which may include classes offered at area high schools or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.  Courses may be required to be taught using traditional methods (seated), online, and hybrid.

If selected for employment, the applicant must submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.
