Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Health Education or a Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Health Education from a regionally accredited institution. CPR Instructor certification required.

Position Description

Hybrid Position (Will include a combination of online and on campus instruction)

Responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimal learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, demonstrating and modeling employability and professionalism skills, maintaining collaborative, respectful working relationships, and providing effective instruction consistent with established objectives.
 

POOLING APPLICANT NOTICE:

This job posting is being used to capture a pool of qualified adjunct faculty candidates for the upcoming semester(s). Adjunct faculty are part-time, non salaried faculty who are paid for each class taught and are hired on an as-needed basis. An adjunct job posting does not imply an open position exists at this time. The need for adjunct faculty changes from semester to semester and should be considered temporary in nature. Applications for an adjunct position will remain active for one (1) year and will be evaluated only when a specific need occurs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for teaching Health 112 classes.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely record keeping and reporting.
  • Responsible for keeping track of weekly attendance in WebAdvisor. 
  • Must maintain an accurate gradebook in Moodle. 
  • Will assist in on-going curriculum and course assessment and improvement.
  • Will attend professional development opportunities when possible. 
  • Will be responsible for maintaining competency and current knowledge in health education and Health 112 classes.
