Masters Degree in History or a Masters degree in a related discipline with 18 graduate hours with an HIS prefix.
Experience teaching at post-secondary level. Experience teaching via distance education/online instruction.
Preferred candidates: Experience with Blackboard using the Exemplary Course Rubric or have completed training in Blackboard. Familiarity with Web Advisor.
Teach 1-2 History courses online. Face-to-face or hybrid options may be available, depending on future needs. Current History Courses offered at BCCC: HIS-111 World Civilizations I; HIS-112 World Civilizations II; HIS-131 American History I; and HIS-132 American History II.
Work collaboratively with Social Science faculty; weekly attendance reporting (Web Advisor); develop and report Student Learning Outcomes to lead History Instructor; have an eye for detail; and the ability work with little supervision.
