Blue Ridge Community College is currently accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor- Nurse Aide 1. The Adjunct Instructor is employed to teach one or more courses that may vary in length of time and perform duties as assigned by the supervisor and defined by the course outline.

Education: AAS in a related field required, Bachelors's, or higher in related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as an RN. All applicants must provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a work-place setting or demonstrated instructional/teaching environment.

Knowledge and Skills: Registered Nurse, currently registered in North Carolina with an unencumbered license. Completed a course in teaching adults (or) experience teaching adults (or) has supervised nurse aides.

Must maintain credentials necessary for the assigned program area. Possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, database systems, College email and website, and other computer applications associated with the position.

Physical Demands: The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
