Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Master’s degree in Physics or a related field.  Note: Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Physics (or a related field) may be considered if they have significant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of community college teaching experience preferred.

Position Description

The purpose of this position is to prepare and teach Physics courses. This position will deliver instruction, maintain grade and attendance records, recognize and respond appropriately to student diversity, utilize clear learning goals and well-planned activities, and keep weekly office hours.


Note: For Fall 2022, the course is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. The course can be offered face-to-face on the Person County Campus in Roxboro, NC, or it can be offered synchronously online via Zoom.
