Blue Ridge Community College us currently accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor- Student Success Center Math & Science Tutor. The Student Success Center Faculty Tutor is responsible for the delivery of appropriate quality tutoring to Center clients. All Student Success Center Faculty will work together to meet the needs of students enrolled at Blue Ridge Community College. Most duties will be specific to a particular content area while other duties will be general. 

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A bachelor degree in the field (math or Science) from an Accredited four-year institution.

Experience: All applicants must provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a workplace setting or demonstrated instructional/teaching environment.

Knowledge and Skills: Current knowledge in the field. Possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Ability to effectively teach adult and young adult students at the basic and secondary levels. Ability to work effectively in an instructional team. Ability to relate to persons of diverse backgrounds and experience.

Physical Demands: The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
