Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree in teaching discipline (Psychology or Sociology) or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline (Psychology or Sociology) from a regionally accredited institution is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; excellent oral and written communication skills; a self-starter; team player, and the ability to work collaboratively with others is required. Must be available to teach at least one seated class per week on campus.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual is preferred.

Position Description

Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the subject area during day and evening classes, which may include classes offered on campus, at area high schools or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Courses may be required to be taught using transitional methods (seated), online, and hybrid. Duties also include submitting reports as required and maintaining student evaluation records; participation in curriculum development, revision, implementation, and evaluation; and performing all other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and or Dean.
