A Master’s degree in Mathematics or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics is required. Additional requirements include: knowledge and experience with computers, proficiency with commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working in a team environment. Self-starter, team player, and a demonstrated ability to work well with others, also required. Will be required to be available to teach using traditional methods (seated), online, and hybrid as needed.
The following requirements are preferred: knowledge and experience with the use of technology, math software, MyMathLab, and the graphing calculator; experience teaching and designing math curricula to teach online math courses using Moodle; experience in the use of retention practices, student learning outcomes, and working with a diverse student population; and experience teaching Calculus and Statistics. One to three years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred. Experience in teaching online courses is preferred.
Instructional duties include teaching day, evening, weekend, and online course in curriculum math. Classes meet on the main campus and at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Responsibilities include advising students, course development where applicable and timely submission of reports. Course may be required to be taught using traditional methods (seated), online, and hybrid.
