Associate's Degree in Medical Office or related field of study. Two years working in a medical office environment. Coding experience.
Bachelor's degree in Medical Office or related field of study. Two years teaching experience. Certified in Internal Classsification of Diseases Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) and Procedure Coding Systems (ICD-10-PCS.
The primary purpose of this adjunct Instructor position is to plan, organize, and teach classes in the Medical Office curriculum program as assigned to ensure that student-learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the college. The adjunct instructor will use available instructional technologies, maintain necessary records, submit all reports in a timely manner, prepare and revise course syllabi, and complete related other duties as assigned.

o Meet classes as assigned
o Present instruction based on the student learning outcomes and performance levels of the course
o Use teaching methods designed for a variety of learning styles
o Use course text, outlines, syllabi and other curriculum materials in accordance with college
and departmental guidelines
o Assist with maintaining a classroom environment emphasizing safety, good housekeeping,
and equipment security
o Complete and submit on time all required instructional and administrative reports and records.
o Assist in enforcement of policies and regulations applicable to students and initiate student alerts when necessary.
o Course format – course(s) may be required to be conducted in any of the following formats (in-class, web, hybrid, and online). Additionally, course lab instruction may also be required.

o Participate in communications with the college and department and meet deadlines as
