Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Music or a master 's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in music from an accredited institution ; must be a team player who is committed to the community college "open door" philosophy; adheres to research-based teaching practices that promote academic excellence in teaching and learning.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years teaching experience; Blackboard and community college teaching experience. Online teaching experience.
Position Description
The adjunct music instructor will plan, organize, and teach music courses as assigned to ensure that student learning out comes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the college, maintains class attendance records and submit s all reports in a timely manner; ad ministers periodic learning assessments and provides timely feedback to students; maintains office hours each week; prepares and revises syllabi; participates in on-going professional development opportunities; other duties as assigned by the department head or school chair.
