Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy; Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required (active standing) and American Association for Respiratory Therapy (AARC) member preferred;
Minimum of two years’ experience in a Level III and/or IV neonatal unit within the past two years; NRP current instructor status;
Ability to utilize different methods and mediums in delivering course material; Proficiency in Moodle, Microsoft Office, the Internet, and management system software

Preferred Qualifications

Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required (active standing) and American Association for Respiratory Therapy (AARC) member preferred

Position Description

Community College is accepting applications for an adjunct faculty Neonatal Pediatric Respiratory Therapy course instructor for Fall 2019 semester.  Apply online at www.carteret.edu. Job Summary:
Teach assigned lecture and laboratory course in Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care in a manner consistent with the department's standards, and with the content cited in the approved course outline and plan of instruction. Teaching responsibilities may include assignments on or off campus in the daytime, evenings, or on weekends as needed. Class preparation, grading, lab set-up, and any College requirements are included in the hourly rate.
Essential Job Functions:
Teach up to twelve credit hours per semester; Update syllabus per semester; Attend selected faculty meetings; Abide by all relevant College/departmental procedures and policies as outlined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook, complete required Human Resource courses such as SafeCollege. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Working Conditions and Environment: Ability to accommodate a flexible working schedule which may include evenings and weekends. Limited travel within service area.
